About Us
Founded in 1987, the Modesto Ballroom
Dance Club (BDC) currently hosts dances on the third Friday of
most months. Our format is recorded ballroom music. The BDC dances are located at 211
Bodem Dr., Modesto (corner of Scenic and Bodem), within the
Senior Citizen’s Center. There is a wide variety of ballroom
music (Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz, Rumba, Cha Cha, Tango, and more)
and a large wooden dance floor to enjoy yourself. Admission is
$5 for members and $7 for non-members.
Dance lessons are offered by You
Can Dance Company prior to each dance from 7:00 – 8:00pm and
the lesson is included in the admission cost. Dance starts at
8:00pm – 11:00pm.
Our dances welcome and encourage
anyone age 16 and over who has an interest in Ballroom Dancing,
however, we do extend an invitation to anyone under the age of
16 who has Ballroom Dancing experience and has the ability to
follow proper floor etiquette to join us at any of our dances.
Youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian.
Please join us for our next Dance on Friday, February 17th.
This will be a 60's - 70's era theme dance - "Love Is All
You Need". Costumes are encouraged but not required.
The dance lesson will be Rumba.
